INTERNAL RULES OF THE KYOKUSHIN KARATE CLUB BEAUVECHAIN


Article 1: Purpose of the Rules

These internal rules set out the operating and conduct standards within the Kyokushin Karate Club Beauvechain in order to uphold sportsmanship, mutual respect, and the safety of all members.

Article 2: Membership and Registration

  1. Anyone wishing to join the club must complete a registration form and pay the annual membership fee.
  2. Minors must provide a signed parental consent form in order to join the club.
  3. Club membership is subject to compliance with these rules and the values of Kyokushin karate.
  4. Annual (or quarterly) membership fees paid to the Kyokushin Karate Club Beauvechain are non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure duly justified and accepted by the club committee.
  5. In the event of force majeure, the member must submit a written request to the club committee, accompanied by appropriate supporting documents. Any refund will be at the committee’s discretion.

Article 3: Training Schedule and Punctuality

  1. Training schedules will be posted in advance on the official website.
  2. Members must arrive at the club at least 15 minutes before the start of each class. This allows attendance to be recorded efficiently and ensures they are prepared to participate fully in training.
  3. Members who arrive late may be refused access to the tatami during the opening bow so as not to disrupt the class.

All members of the Kyokushin Karate Club Beauvechain are requested to acknowledge and accept these new provisions by signing this amended document.

Article 4: Dress Code and Equipment

  1. Members must wear appropriate karate attire for every training session, including the gi (karate uniform), the obi (belt), and the required protective gear.
  2. Fingernails must be kept short for safety reasons.
  3. Wearing jewelry or any objects that could cause injury is strictly prohibited during training sessions.

Article 5: Conduct

  1. Respect for instructors, fellow members, and club visitors is essential. Any lack of respect, honor, or courtesy will not be tolerated.
  2. Members must follow instructors’ directions carefully during classes.
  3. Any form of verbal or physical violence is strictly prohibited.

Article 6: Hygiene and Cleanliness

  1. Members must maintain appropriate personal hygiene during training sessions.
  2. Clean indoor shoes or sandals must be worn in areas outside the tatami.

Article 7: Safety

  1. Members must follow the safety rules set out by the instructors during classes.
  2. Any injuries or incidents must be reported immediately to an instructor or a committee member.
  3. Practicing karate techniques outside supervised training sessions is strictly prohibited.

Article 8: Liability

  1. The Kyokushin Karate Club Beauvechain accepts no liability for theft, loss, or accidents occurring on club premises or during club-organized events.
  2. Each member is responsible for their personal belongings and equipment.

Article 9: Disciplinary Measures

  1. In the event of non-compliance with these rules, disciplinary measures may be taken by the club committee. These may range from a simple warning to temporary or permanent suspension of membership.
  2. Serious cases may be reported to the competent authorities.

Article 10: Amendments to the Rules

  1. These rules may be amended by decision of the club committee, subject to the amendments being communicated to the members.
  2. Members will have the opportunity to ask questions or submit comments regarding the proposed amendments.
